BECOME A FLOORING MECHANIC!
I am an instructor at the Carpenters Training Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. I have been teaching for several years now.
Before I began teaching I installed floors for 28 years. I am experienced in carpet, tile, sheet vinyl and hardwood flooring.
Floor covering materials can be installed on just about every surface whether it is indoors or outdoors.
Teaching became a worth while option for me because my experience from the field allows me to pass valuable information and tips of the trade to apprentices.
Hands-on projects are continually done at the training center using an abundance of materials simulating job related situations.
Education such as Carpentry math and math specific to flooring is covered in the Apprentice program and the Flooring Program.
Working on the many projects definitely keeps the interest alive.
